Egypt Experience
This guided journey through Egypt offers an immersive exploration of the country’s ancient history and vibrant modern culture, starting with iconic monuments like the Giza Pyramids and the pharaohs' tombs in the Valley of the Kings. You will marvel at the gargantuan mountain-carved statues of Ramses II at Abu Simbel, stroll through bustling historic bazaars in Cairo, Aswan, and Luxor, and experience traditional Nubian hospitality during a special home-cooked dinner with a local family. To complete the adventure, you will set sail down the iconic Nile River on a cruise ship, relaxing on the sundeck to watch daily Egyptian life pass by as the desert sun sets over the water.

Day by Day Itinerary:
Day 1: Cairo: Complimentary airport arrival transfer included. Arrive at the hotel and meet your group at a 5:00 PM welcome meeting. Free evening. Accommodation: Barceló Cairo Pyramids Hotel (or similar).
Day 2: Cairo Activity: Full day of sightseeing. Guided tour of the Giza Pyramids and the Sphinx, followed by a visit to the Grand Egyptian Museum. End the day with a walking tour of the Khan al-Khalili bazaar. Accommodation: Barceló Cairo Pyramids Hotel (or similar). Meals: Breakfast.
Day 3: Cairo to Alexandria Activity: Travel by private air-conditioned vehicle to the coastal city of Alexandria. Explore the underground Kom el Shoqafa catacombs and tour the modern Bibliotheca Alexandrina. Accommodation: Standard Hotel in Alexandria. Meals: Breakfast.
Day 4: Alexandria to Cairo (Overnight Train) Activity: See Fort Qaitbey and stroll the Corniche. On the drive back to Cairo, stop at the historic salt lakes and desert monasteries of Wadi El Natron. In Cairo, board an overnight sleeper train down south to Aswan. Accommodation: Overnight Sleeper Train (Private, air-conditioned 2-berth compartments). Meals: Breakfast, Dinner.
Day 5: Aswan Activity: Arrive in Aswan. Take a boat to the island-based Philae Temple (Temple of Isis). In the evening, visit a local Nubian village to experience local culture and enjoy a traditional home-cooked meal. Accommodation: Standard Hotel in Aswan. Meals: Breakfast, Dinner.
Day 6: Abu Simbel to Nile Cruise Activity: Early morning drive through the desert to the magnificent Abu Simbel Temples of Ramses II. Return to Aswan to check into your cruise ship. Cap off the afternoon with a traditional Felucca sailboat ride at sunset. Accommodation: Nile Cruise Boat (Docked in Aswan). Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.
Day 7: Nile River Cruise (Aswan to Kom Ombo to Edfu) Activity: Enjoy a relaxed, free morning to explore Aswan. Reboard the cruise ship and sail north to the riverside Kom Ombo Temple. Continue sailing toward Edfu. Accommodation: Nile Cruise Boat (Sailing/Docked en route). Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.
Day 8: Nile River Cruise (Edfu to Luxor) Activity: Visit the remarkably preserved Edfu Temple, dedicated to the falcon god Horus. Spend the remainder of the day relaxing on the cruise sun deck as the ship sails into Luxor. Accommodation: Nile Cruise Boat (Docked in Luxor). Meals: Breakfast.
Day 9: Luxor Activity: Say goodbye to the cruise ship. Spend the day exploring the monumental Karnak Temple complex and the beautifully lit Luxor Temple. Accommodation: Standard Hotel in Luxor. Meals: Breakfast.
Day 10: Luxor Activity: Cross the Nile to the West Bank. Tour the famous Valley of the Kings (includes entry into three distinct pharaohs' tombs), the striking cliffside Temple of Hatshepsut, and the giant Colossi of Memnon. Accommodation: Standard Hotel in Luxor. Meals: Breakfast.
Day 11: Luxor to Cairo Activity: A completely free day in Luxor to relax, shop, or book an optional early morning hot air balloon ride. In the evening, take an internal flight from Luxor back to Cairo. Accommodation: Cleopatra Hotel (or similar). Meals: Breakfast.
Day 12: Cairo: The trip officially wraps up after breakfast. You are free to head to the airport or continue your travels at any time. Meals: Breakfast.
